A recent five-day visit by Finnish brothers and sisters brought fresh energy and encouragement to churches across Hungary, as part of a spiritual outreach organized by Hungarian Gypsy Missions International. The Finnish guests ministered in worship services nearly every day, sharing God’s word through preaching, music, prayer, and prophetic messages.
HGMI has long maintained a close partnership with congregations in Finland. Most recently, a team from the Pentecostal church in Siilinjärvi traveled to Békés, where they met with Albert Durkó, President of HGMI, to explore further opportunities for cooperation and shared mission.
“Prayer plays a central role in their lives, and its power was clearly evident throughout the services. Their church community prayed twice a day for a full month leading up to the visit,” said László Adamik, missionary staff member of HGMI.
The Finnish team also visited congregations in Mezőberény, Zákányszék, Kiskunmajsa, Kótaj, and Hajdúhadház, where their ministry was welcomed with warmth and gratitude.
“This was a truly blessed time. Through their ministry, we received deep spiritual insight that will guide both my personal journey and the future of our church. We’re grateful for their visit and look forward to meeting again,” said Pál Péter, pastor of the Agapé Church in Zákányszék.
“The pantomime performance they shared touched many. It was uplifting to see their passion and commitment to God. Their presence brought real renewal to our congregation,” added Jenő Lakatos, pastor of the Tüzes Szívek Church in Hajdúhadház.
This visit marked another important step in strengthening HGMI’s international relationships. It gave church members the opportunity to build new spiritual connections, gain cross-cultural ministry experience, and contribute more effectively to their local communities.
