A special couple with a powerful message concluded the latest training series organized by Prepare International and the Hungarian Gypsy Missions International. The central theme of the event focused on transforming our thinking to become more Christlike.

“From the moment we met, we felt that God was calling us to a life that cannot be considered ‘normal’,” reads the website of Brandy and Joshia Boyd. Originally from Texas, the couple now lives in Krakow. After years of prayer, they felt prompted to move and are now confident they acted according to God’s will. Joshia Boyd had previously visited HGMI a few months earlier, where he provided teachings and served local congregations. In addition to his church ministry in Poland, he also serves as the Central European Regional Director for Prepare International.

“The central theme this time was the power of renewing our minds. While our hearts often connect more easily with God’s truths, our minds can become battlegrounds. Every Christian goes through a vital journey of shifting from worldly thinking to Christlike thinking. God thinks differently than we do, and it is essential that we learn to align ourselves with His ways,” said Joshia Boyd in response to our inquiry. Those interested can watch a longer conversation with him on ReményCast, a platform launched by the mission.

Joshia also shared that the relationship between Prepare International and HGMI became particularly close three years ago. “We observe the mission’s work in Hungary with great appreciation. For me, what matters most is what I see in the heart, and it is a joy to witness the dedication of the participants during the training. I consider it a privilege to be able to teach here,” said the speaker, who led the seminar alongside his wife.

At the conclusion of the training series, participants received certificates. However, the sessions organized by the two organizations will continue this fall. The training enjoys great popularity among church leaders and servants, as they pass the knowledge gained onto their local communities, significantly contributing to the effective operation of congregations. Experience shows that the mission made a wise decision by placing a strong emphasis on education.
