world conference

Participation in this year’s World Conference, hosted in Finland, offered a valuable opportunity to expand the international connections of the Hungarian Gypsy Missions International. Held every three years, the event centered on discipleship — a core element of our mission’s ministry.

Under the leadership of President Albert Durkó, HGMI was represented at this global gathering, the largest assembly of Pentecostal communities worldwide. “Proclaiming the gospel requires a deliberate plan to guide new believers as disciples of Jesus,” emphasized the organizers in their message.

HGMI maintains a broad international network, nurturing relationships with numerous organizations and communities throughout Europe, overseas, and the Far East. This year’s conference in Helsinki was a unique opportunity to strengthen these collaborations. Members of the Hungarian delegation met with Daniel Costanza, Executive Director of the Pentecostal European Fellowship (PEF), and Harri Hakola, President of FIDA. The conference included worship services, sermons, teachings, and seminars, all of which greatly contributed to the spiritual growth and renewal of participants.

“We met and built connections with many organizations that can play a significant role in our mission’s international network. The conference’s central message was also a great encouragement for us, as discipleship is a vital part of HGMI’s vision,” shared members of the Hungarian delegation.

The next World Conference will be held in Manila, Philippines, where Pentecostal communities will gather again in November 2028.
