Remenyhir Institution

At Reményhír Institution, our mission extends beyond academics—we are committed to transforming lives through knowledge, faith, and community. Founded by the Hungarian Gypsy Missions International in 2012, the Reményhír Educational Operations Centre (REOC) oversees a wide range of educational programs, serving learners from kindergarten to adulthood.

REOC currently manages the Epreskert and Hunyadi Tér Kindergartens, the Eötvös József Primary School, the Elementary Art School, and the Erdős Kamill Trade School. In 2020, it was officially registered as an adult education provider. Our educational model is rooted in personalized development, identity-affirming teaching, and strong social understanding.

We especially focus on creating opportunities for disadvantaged and Roma students, without excluding others. Our schools welcome both Roma and non-Roma learners into inclusive environments that recognize and nurture every individual’s God-given potential.

Rather than emphasizing disadvantage, we highlight value, ability, and growth. Students are encouraged to discover their strengths and talents through education that supports both personal and academic development.

Reményhír institutions provide ethnic Roma education programs that honor students’ cultural heritage while preparing them to succeed in a changing world. These initiatives not only strengthen ethnic identity but also promote integration, innovation, and resilience.

As part of our adult education offerings, we provide vocational training, mentorship, and life-skills programs. These are designed to be both practical and transformative, often paired with mental health support and character-building activities. We see education as a family-centered effort—one that fosters peace, stability, and hope across generations.

Our teachers, mentors, and volunteers work closely with students to support their emotional and spiritual growth. Classroom devotionals, family outreach, and values-based events are all part of our holistic approach. At Reményhír, we believe education is a mission, and we are working to build inclusive, modern, and empowering educational spaces for all.

Teen Day: A Joyful Tradition of Faith and Connection

One of our most anticipated annual events is Teen Day, a vibrant celebration that brings students and staff together in faith, fellowship, and fun. It offers a break from the routine and a chance to strengthen spiritual bonds in a joyful, inclusive setting.

This year’s event featured a variety of interactive activities and spiritual moments. A highlight was Pastor Zoltán Hajnal, Director of the Baptist Education Center, who reminded everyone of the importance of teachers not just as educators, but as daily messengers of the Gospel.

Another memorable moment was a creative performance by a Canadian magician and former missionary in Hungary, who used illusions to share the message of God’s love in an engaging, meaningful way.

More than just entertainment, Teen Day continues to grow as a tradition that reflects our values—community, faith, and identity. It deepens students’ sense of belonging and provides an uplifting space to celebrate who they are and the journey they’re on.

At Reményhír Institution, we believe true education extends far beyond the classroom. It is about shaping lives, strengthening identities, and transforming challenges into lasting hope—for children, families, and communities.
