Czech delegation in Hungary

We came here to learn because we see that God is working supernaturally among Roma churches in Hungary,” emphasized the leader of a Czech delegation that recently visited Hungarian Gypsy Missions International to study its work. The visitors found HGMI’s activities and organizational structure exemplary, believing they could serve as a model for their own future ministry.

Hungarian Gypsy Missions International welcomed the Czech delegation, which is also part of the Pentecostal Church and has recently begun organized ministry among Roma communities. The delegation’s leader, Petr Rattay, expressed deep admiration for the enthusiasm and dedication of the Hungarian mission workers:

We are delighted to witness the serious efforts being made in Hungary in the field of Roma ministry. We can sense the strength and prayer invested in this work. We believe it will bear even more fruit in the future,” said Rattay, who also serves as a pastor of an international congregation in his home country.

Their primary goal is to train leaders and support the younger generation, as many young people still need to hear the Gospel.

During their visit, the delegation met with Albert Durkó, President of HGMI, learned about the GypsyAid’s initiatives, and visited Roma communities in Zákányszék and Hajdúhadház.

According to the guests, this meeting could serve as a strong foundation for closer collaboration between the mission organizations of both countries. In the long run, such cooperation could lead to an even more effective ministry among Roma communities.
