The Újpest Baptist Church recently hosted the 10th National Protestant Roma Mission Conference, bringing together hundreds of Pentecostal, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, and Reformed believers to worship and deepen their faith.
Launched a decade ago, the conference was founded with the goal of uniting representatives from churches serving the Roma community—to share experiences and glorify God together. This year’s jubilee event welcomed Attila Sztojka, State Secretary for Social Opportunities and Roma Relations, who highlighted the vital role of faith in the lives of the Roma people.
The Hungarian Gypsy Mission International has played an active role in organizing the conference since its inception. HGMI President Albert Durkó addressed attendees through a video message, emphasizing the power of interchurch cooperation in ministering to the Roma community.
As is tradition, the preaching of the Word was followed by powerful personal testimonies. Participants shared stories of miraculous transformations in their lives after encountering Jesus Christ. The Voices of Hope Band led worship, adding a moving and unforgettable spiritual atmosphere to the event.
The next Roma Mission Conference is scheduled to take place in one year.
