The testimonies of 2025 continue to speak. Across HGMI, one shared truth remains clear: God has been faithful in building, saving, and preparing His people.
Throughout the year, national presbyters witnessed growth not only in numbers, but in unity, maturity, and spiritual depth. Below are their reflections, shared in their own words.
“A great deal happened in Verpelét and the surrounding region. We began renovating the church building, and as we moved forward, we realized how much more work was needed than we had anticipated. The entire year was filled with service and effort, but the congregation came together, and through our own work and donations, the renovation was completed.
Alongside this, we continued street evangelism, and baptisms took place in several locations. Altogether, 19 people were baptized, and the church grew. People continue to surrender their lives to Christ—even at our most recent service, two new believers gave their lives to God and began their journey of discipleship.”

“I can truly say this year was very good. I am surrounded by a strong team, and house groups have formed in nearly 40 communities. As a result, we now operate five Charity Points, especially in segregated areas, where we serve through food packages, furniture donations, and practical help. This has been our priority throughout the year.
Training has been essential, and believers are eager for it. We are preparing people year by year, because when revival comes, we must be ready. I always pray myself from one year into the next, and God gives a word that shapes the year ahead.”

“This year began with involving more leaders in mission training, which brought great joy. Our vision is to raise disciples who can carry the gospel of God’s Kingdom forward. Through these trainings, we gained deep self-awareness and strengthened our community.
We saw more evangelism and more people giving their lives to Christ. This is the joy of a servant—seeing that our labor is not in vain, as lives are transformed and renewed. It gives us fresh strength to continue, walking in humility and allowing Christ to be great in our lives.”
— Jenő Lakatos
“By God’s grace, our church focused strongly on spiritual ministry across the ten communities where I serve. This resulted in 19 baptisms, the formation of house groups, and consistent work through compassion ministry.
Training functioned exceptionally well this year. We completed multiple levels of discipleship training and have already launched the next phase. Raising disciples alongside us is essential: this is the only way the vision of reaching hundreds of thousands can be fulfilled. Through the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we achieved the goals we set for this year.”

“Several moments stood out this year. One was the women’s conference, where I witnessed unity, service, prayer, and heartfelt worship. Many women surrendered their lives to God, which brought great joy.
Our work with young people was also especially meaningful. I saw how God transformed their hearts—hardness and brokenness turning into humility and obedience. This year, 57 people were baptized. We believe it’s not enough to simply make a decision; our hearts must be conquered by Jesus. When that happens, following Him becomes natural.”
— Pál Péter
“We experienced a positive and encouraging year across many locations. Baptisms took place in multiple cities, and ministry extended beyond borders into Romania, where a beautiful work has begun.
We also witnessed healings and powerful encounters. The gospel carries real power, and when it is proclaimed, people turn away from their old lives and surrender themselves to God. For this, we give all glory to Him.”
— Ferenc Rézműves
Together, these reflections paint a clear picture of 2025: a year of faithfulness, unity, and intentional preparation. Across regions and communities, God strengthened His church through service, discipleship, compassion, and the power of the gospel. As HGMI moves forward, these testimonies stand as both gratitude for what God has done and confidence in what He is still unfolding. With hearts aligned and foundations strengthened, we step into the future ready for the harvest ahead.
