Through its growing international network, the Hungarian Gypsy Mission International is making significant progress in achieving its missionary, educational, and charitable objectives. The organization collaborates with numerous European, overseas, and Far Eastern partners to establish strategic alliances and launch joint programs.

The mission’s leaders believe that an expanding international network enhances the transformative power of the Gospel, particularly within local Roma communities. These partnerships not only provide support but also allow other organizations to benefit from HGMI’s experience and expertise.

A Growing International Network

Réka Draughn, Director of International Relations at HGMI, highlighted that a substantial number of new international collaborations have been formed over the past year. She emphasized that the most crucial partnerships focus on missionary work and charitable activities. The Charity has several strategic partners, with numerous foreign organizations supporting its efforts, such as through shoebox donations.

“We also aim to strengthen our connections in education and training, areas that are already yielding positive results,” said Réka Draughn.

International Recognition of HGMI

Enhancing HGMI’s international reputation is also a key aspect of its global cooperation. “Many foreign organizations perceive both the Roma people and Hungary as being in a subordinate position, which can put HGMI at a disadvantage. However, our achievements must be recognized, as they hold significant international value,” emphasized Réka Draughn.

The leadership considers it essential that HGMI is not only seen as a recipient of support but also as an active partner that contributes knowledge and expertise to international collaborations.

HGMI remains committed to ensuring that, through its global partnerships, the message of the Gospel reaches an ever-growing audience and that the organization is recognized as a respected and influential international partner.
