woman at the meeting

The working group meeting took place in Szanazug, primarily organized for female workers affiliated with the mission. At the event, Albert Durkó, President, and László Surman, Mission Director-General, also gave presentations, emphasizing the importance of women’s roles in the church.

The purpose of the occasion was not only to exchange experiences but also to create a strategy that helps make female church members disciples and involve them in ministry.

Albert Durkó, President, stressed: “It is generally observed that churches have more female than male members, and we consider it very important for them to find their service roles. We want the women’s mission to play a prominent role in our organization, and we will develop a strategy for this in the future. Female workers are often marginalized, but we see in the Word that God created man and woman together in His own image and likeness, so they are equally indispensable in ministry and in the church.”

During the event, participants discussed numerous practical examples and best practices. Júlia Erdélyi Berkiné, a mission worker and the coordinator of the meeting, pointed out: “The Lord wants to elevate women and put them into ministry, making them disciples. There are churches where women’s ministries work well, and we want to discuss the good practices there and align these experiences with biblical truths. In the future, we also plan to produce training materials that can make services towards women and children more effective.”

The strategy formulated during the meeting is based on the active involvement and support of women in church services, aiming for them to find their place and role in the community’s life and contribute effectively to the mission’s success. The statements made at the event reinforce the belief that women are indispensable in the life of the church and need appropriate support and training for their ministry.
