The Hungarian Gypsy Missions (HGMI) once again hosted its Civil Information Day, with representatives from 18 organizations participating this time. The aim of the event was to create a genuine meeting point for civil communities connected to the mission in various ways.
Living relationships and professional cooperation
The first Civil Information Day was held in 2021, and since then, it has been organized at least once a year, providing opportunities for personal connection and the exchange of experiences. The initiative seeks to ensure that the civil network is not merely a collection of organizations, but a community built on living relationships and active cooperation.
Participants were welcomed by Albert Durkó, President of HGMI, and Tímea Fajóné Kisházi, civil liaison.
Professional support and practical answers
During the program, participants received professional support through roundtable discussions. Leaders from the mission addressed questions in key areas, including:
- mission work
- finance
- human resources
- asset management
- communication
- project management
The goal was to provide practical assistance to civil organizations in their daily operations and to help them respond more confidently to the challenges of a constantly changing environment.
Continuous development and adaptation
In today’s rapidly changing world, continuous learning and development are essential. For many years, Albert Durkó has encouraged communities to move forward, grow, and step beyond their limitations.
Building community and shared goals
A unique aspect of the event was that many participants had the opportunity to connect with representatives of organizations they had rarely interacted with before. This highlights the diversity of communities within the mission, united by shared goals.
A day of growth
The Civil Information Day focused on growth and development. These occasions go beyond sharing information — they strengthen communities, provide inspiration, and offer direction for the future.
