Christian leaders from Malaysia recently visited Hungary to gain firsthand insight into the services provided by the Hungarian Gypsy Missions International. The visitors represented a missionary organization that has been supporting those in need, spreading the gospel, and organizing educational programs for over a decade.
During their visit, the delegation explored HGMI’s charitable initiatives and various institutions. At Epreskert Kindergarten, they witnessed how children are nurtured in a Christian environment. They also met with the executive leadership to learn about the organization’s strategic approach.
The guests were not merely observers; they actively engaged in local community activities. In the towns of Kemecse and Verpelét, their involvement and service uplifted local believers, strengthening the sense of international Christian unity.
The leader of the Malaysian mission, Pastor Arulandu Sami Muthu, described their work:
“We have been leading a Christian mission in Malaysia for twelve years. Our mission is to assist those in need and support refugees arriving from Sri Lanka. We organize educational programs, hold conferences, and provide aid in every possible way to those who require help. Additionally, we participate in disaster relief efforts and serve communities in India. I discovered the Hungarian mission online and initiated contact, for which I am very grateful. I believe it is part of God’s plan to bring us together.”
This meeting provided an excellent opportunity for both mission leaders to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges they face, and celebrate their successes. Despite the vast geographical distance, their shared commitment—to spreading the gospel and helping those in need—has forged a strong bond between the two organizations.
The visit was not only inspiring for the guests but also opened new possibilities for HGMI in terms of international collaboration.
